With a Steven Adams shimmy, Thunder heads into All-Star break with wild win vs. Pelicans

Rather than dwelling on a three-game losing streak for the next week, the Thunder is entering the All-Star break with a Kiwi-style shimmy.

Steven Adams stepped into the most nonchalant of one-handed heaves — several feet behind the halfcourt line — but by the way Adams flicked his right wrist and stiffened his back, he must have known it had a chance.

The ball dropped with a splash, and the splash led to a shimmy from the 7-foot center to close the first half.

The celebration wasn’t spoiled as the Thunder held off the Pelicans 123-118 Thursday night in New Orleans.
