In the Thunder's second game of preseason Friday, Kevin Durant showed flashes of his MVP form. He drew oohs from the Oklahoma City onlookers as he crossed up defenders, anticipated passes for steals on defense, and stepped on the accelerator for an emphatic dunk in traffic
His pregame introduction was deafeningly loud, even from a less-than-capacity crowd.
For Durant and the fans, it was a triumphant home debut nearly eight months in the making … and unless you were inside Chesapeake Energy Arena, you didn't get to see it.
