What to expect from Alex Abrines, OKC’s newest player

Finally! After 17 days of waiting, Oklahoma City added a new piece to the roster.

Alex Abrines is making his way to the NBA three years after being drafted 32nd overall in the 2013 NBA Draft. Abrines has been playing for FC Barcelona since July of 2012; last season he beat out 2014 lottery pick Dario Saric as the Rising Star of the Euroleague.

The 6 foot 6 guard/forward is going to bring the skillset that the current roster lacks: shooting. After finishing last season 17th in overall three-point shooting, OKC’s outlook seemed even drearier after losing two of their top shooters in Kevin Durant and Serge Ibaka.
