Perhaps you watched Kyrie Irving on Tuesday night in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals. Irving produced a game for the ages: 42 points, 15-of-22 shooting, 4-of-7 3-point shooting, four assists.
With LeBron James saddled with foul trouble, Irving put the Cavaliers on his back to beat Boston 112-99 and give Cleveland a 3-1 series lead.
But it’s not out of the ordinary for Irving. He made the tie-breaking shot with 53 seconds left that beat Golden State in Game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals. If Irving had not suffered a broken kneecap early in the 2015 NBA Finals, the Cavaliers might be going for a three-peat this season.
