In formal gowns and sharp tuxedos, hundreds of Oklahomans clamored about the ballroom at the Cox Convention Center. There was plenty of hubbub and distraction, socialization and mingling. But all heads turned when one man entered the room.
The busyness of the room halted as Russell Westbrook - slickly dressed in a black tuxedo, white shirt and black bow tie – strolled onto the stage. He settled in to take pictures with Rita Bly Aragón, Michael Burrage, Dan Dillingham, Rebecca Dixon and Kelli O’Hara. The group of six was all set to be inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame, a momentous occasion for the state each year.
