Russell Westbrook has had quite the season, posting the NBA’s first triple double – double digits in points, rebounds and assists – since 1962 and breaking Oscar Robertson’s NBA record of triple doubles in a season. Westbrook has 42; Oscar had 41.
But there are some other records that Westbrook still can achieve, with two games left in the 2016-17 season. Notably this one: franchise record for points in a season. Previous record-holder: Kevin Durant.
Durant in his MVP season of 2013-14 scored 2,593 points. Westbrook has 2,553 points going into the Thunder’s final two games, Tuesday night at Minnesota and Wednesday night at home against Denver.
