Morgantown, West Virginia, is a fabulous setting for college football. Incredibly underrated. Sitting in the pressbox of Milan Puskar Stadium – or from any of the high seats in the Mountaineers’ football home – you look out over the Alleghenies and the charming city of hills and curvy roads.
The late October foliage was dampened by a misty rain in the morning and a drizzle in the afternoon, but that only made it look like a Rembrandt painting. Heck, I don’t know if it was like a Rembrandt, but you know what I mean.
Of course, the whole drive from Pittsburgh to Morgantown was that way.
