It was fitting that Steven Adams’ first made 3-pointer would be one-handed.
The Thunder center, who has been throwing one-handed inbound passes halfway across the court all season, put that skill to use just before the buzzer ushered in halftime in New Orleans Thursday. This time, Adams's target wasn’t a teammate. It was the 18-inch rim at the other end of the court.
From the edge of the New Orleans logo, Adams palmed the basketball and stepped into a baseball throw. Against all odds, the ball flew across ¾ of the court and fell through the hoop.
