Ex-Sixer Kyle Adnam had a blinder for Melbourne with 23 points, including six three-pointers, while Josh Boone and Casper Ware each scored 18 points apiece. With guard Shannon Shorter absent due to a family bereavement, Sixers captain Mitch Creek and Anthony Drmic were valiant but had minimal support.
