John Brooks' production company, Sportscast Productions, is doing a six-part "Triple Crown Racing Preview" on The Franchise 107.7, beginning this week. Brooks is hosting the series with local handicappers Scott Oxford, Lisa Oxford, Ernie Parker and Kelly O'Hara to preview the Kentucky Derby, Preakness and Belmont Stakes weekends.
The shows are scheduled for 8-9 p.m. Thursday and Friday, May 19-20 for Preakness and June 9-10 for the Belmont Stakes.
Brooks said the Thursday shows from studio will feature an early look at the main event but also will focus on the Friday races, which are filled with major stakes races and races that play to a daily double and pick three with the Triple Crown events.
