The Thunder won its final two games of a West Coast road swing, at Portland and Phoenix, and the cries began.
“Too. Good. To. Tank.” a friend texted.
“Sam Presti’s plan is failing,” a fan said.
The Thunder was 8-9, on the fringe of Western Conference playoff contention, and far from the bottom of the NBA standings that will determine the lottery order for the 2021 draft.
Then came Friday night, and the Thunder reminded us that it is most definitely not too good to tank. That Presti’s plan is not failing in the least.
