Four hours before the Oscars Sunday, Thunder forward Patrick Patterson held an awards show of his own.
“I would like to go ahead and say thank you to everyone,” Patterson said, microphone in hand, movie screen behind him. “The films were amazing. Thank you for sharing them with all of us. I’m very sad that there can only be two winners,”
Patterson partnered with the deadCenter Film Festival to put on a short-film contest for high school, technology center and college students. deadCenter narrowed down the submissions to five finalists from each category (high school and college) to be screened at Harkins Bricktown 16 Sunday.
