The Oklahoma City Thunder announced center Chet Holmgren will miss eight to 10 weeks with a pelvic fracture after a hard fall attempting a block during Sunday's loss to the Golden State Warriors.

Everyone involved will certainly hope the young player avoids a longer-term issue after injuries have been a major storyline to this point in his career.

Holmgren was selected No. 2 overall in the 2022 NBA draft out of Gonzaga, but he was ruled out for the 2022-23 season after suffering a Lisfranc injury in his right foot during a Pro-Am event.
