The Thunder has waived center Tyler Davis, the team announced Thursday. The rookie signed a two-way contract with the Thunder and its G League affiliate, the Blue, over the summer after playing three seasons at Texas A&M.

Davis appeared for about a minute in one game with the Thunder this season, but in 15 games with the Blue he averaged 17.2 points, 11.6 rebounds and 1.9 blocks.

Per the NBA's Collective Bargaining Agreement, teams can allot two roster spots to two-way players. Those spots do not count against the salary cap.

Teams can sign two-way players until Jan.
