The Oklahoma City Thunder have announced that they have waived Rob Edwards.
The guard was a training camp invite, along with D.J. Wilson.
He is the first of more that will most likely get released within the next few days as the Thunder trim their roster down to 15 NBA players and two two-way players.
The Thunder opens their regular season on Oct. 20 against the Utah Jazz.
Edwards went undrafted in 2020 and would subsequently play last season with the Oklahoma City Blue — the Thunder’s G League team.
The 24-year-old played in this past Summer League, where he averaged 11.
