The Minnesota Timberwolves will take the court tonight for the first time since firing Team President/Coach Tom Thibodeau. Thibodeau’s firing came after a blowout win against a very short-handed version of the Lakers. Minnesota has won two straight but they are only 3-7 in their last 10 road games. However, one of those three wins came against the Thunder, when OKC couldn’t slow down Andrew Wiggins late.
The last time these two teams met, the Thunder gave up 10 second half 3-pointers and sent Minnesota to the free throw line 27 times. These numbers are a recipe for disaster if OKC can’t get them in check.
