Size, length, quickness and athleticism are hallmarks of Thunder players, and on Friday night when all five men stretched out their arms on defense and moved their feet, any open space on the floor was completely swallowed up.
In a dominating effort fueled by suffocating, intimidating defense, the Thunder treated the fans at Chesapeake Energy Arena to a 111-81 victory over the Turkish team Fenerbahce Istanbul, a perfect way to ring in the first home game of the preseason.
It was a bit back-and-forth early, but the Head Coach Billy Donovan’s team closed the first quarter with a 14-2 run that put the Thunder ahead for good.
