The Thunder won angry Monday night. Angry and emotional.
The Thunder beat the Clippers 100-99. Kevin Durant’s jumper with 5.8 seconds left in the game gave OKC the lead, and Durant’s block of a Chris Paul fadeaway secured the victory at the buzzer.
And the Thunder’s investment in this game was soon apparent.
Durant snarled and scowled and yanked his jersey from its moorings.
A moment later, when he stopped for the on-court, post-game interview with Leslie McCaslin, Durant was not his usual diplomatic self.
The emotions had not subsided.
Those on-court interviews usually are drudgery.
