INDIANAPOLIS — Thunder players slowly strode to their bench as Pacers guard T.J. McConnell shuffled along the sideline. He beckoned to the crowd with both hands, and the fans roared back at him.
McConnell had just intercepted Thunder wing Abdel Nader’s pass to Dennis Schroder and found Doug McDermott for a routine layup.
That summed up the Thunder’ night in Indiana: McConnell, a role player best known for his locker room presence, carrying his celebration almost the length of the court during a timeout.
For the first time all season, the Thunder suffered a blowout loss, falling 111-85 to the Pacers (7-4) on Thursday.
