Former Oklahoma State guard Markel Brown is returning to Oklahoma.
Brown, 27, has signed with the Thunder, the team announced Tuesday. Brown spent last season in Turkey playing for Darüu015fu015fafaka. His Oklahoma ties also include a 22-game stint with the Thunder’s G League affiliate, the OKC Blue, in 2017-18.
At OSU, Brown began to stand out as early as his freshman year. His 33 blocks that season set a new high for Cowboy guards. The next season, CollegeBasketballTalk on NBCSports.com named him Dunker of the Year. As a junior, Brown became the second player in OSU history to record 200 assists, 100 steals and 75 blocks.
