The Thunder finally gave two-way player Deonte Burton a guarantee.
The Thunder agreed to a multi-year NBA contract with Burton on Sunday, guaranteeing his salary for the remaining 16 games of the season. The signing was first reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Prior to the agreement, the 6-foot-5, 250-pound rookie wing was a two-way player on a limit of 45 days of NBA service. Burton has averaged 3.1 points and one rebound while shooting 33.3 percent in 23 games this season with the Thunder.
Burton has flourished with the G League Oklahoma City Blue, averaging 16.
