The Thunder has signed 22-year-old center Justin Patton, the team announced Tuesday.
Since the Bulls drafted Patton No. 16 overall in the 2017 NBA Draft, the former Creighton Bluejay has played a total of four NBA games in two seasons, one for the Timberwolves and three for the 76ers. Philadelphia waived Patton in April, after he spent a majority of the season playing for the G League Delaware Blue Coats.
The signing suggests that the Thunder is comfortable filling the back end of its roster with players it can develop, deciding that the potential reward is worth the low risk as OKC overhauls its roster.
