Thunder shooting woes go beyond 3-pointers

The shooting numbers quite so sobering for the Thunder: 23.9 percent 3-point shooting, 39 percent 2-point shooting, 66.7 foul shooting.

Yes, it’s only three games. That means we’re the NBA equivalent of being in the third quarter of an NFL season opener.

But the Thunder was a poor shooting team last season and the early returns are that OKC has gotten even worse.

* The 3-point shoot is more than abysmal. The 23.9 percent is almost five percentage points worse than the 29th-ranked team, the Lakers, in the 30-team NBA.
