The Thunder entered the weekend 28th in the NBA in assists per game. Two days later, after a back-to-back against Golden State and Milwaukee, the Thunder moved up to 24th in assists.
OKC dished a season-high 30 assists against the Warriors on Saturday, and followed with a new high of 31 assists Sunday against the Bucks.
“We’ve got to rely on each other, and I feel like we’re trying to do that,” Thunder coach Billy Donovan said Sunday night. “We’re trying to make the extra pass … Obviously you don’t get assists if the ball doesn’t go in the basket.
