Fifteen seconds had ticked off the third quarter before Russell Westbrook was making a sour face.
It wasn't because the Thunder did something bad. Quite the contrary. Westbrook was impressed. He held his “stink face” longer than Steven Adams, who just polished off a vicious up-and-under dunk off a Paul George pass. Adams return face in Westbrook's direction was brief but telling. He was flashing a little attitude.
The Thunder was playing with confidence against a playoff contender, a rare occurrence since Andre Roberson's season-ending injury on Jan. 27, and even before.
But with 10:31 left in the third quarter of their 104-94 win against San Antonio on Saturday, Adams' left ankle turned outward as he was going for a defensive rebound.
