NEW ORLEANS – Thunder guard Russell Westbrook is rarely caught off guard in postgame media scums, but the news that he had become the franchise all-time leading scorer Thursday did the trick.
Westbrook had been staring at the ground, but with that news he picked up his head and raised his eyebrows.
“I didn’t even know I was close, honestly,” he said. “That’s crazy, man, honestly.”

Westbrook paced the Thunder with 44 points in the OKC’s 131-122 loss to the Pelicans Thursday.
