It's been a rough first Olympic games so far for Thunder rookie Alex Abrines.
Through Spain's first three group games, the 23-year-old has played less than two minutes. He couldn't get off the bench in Spain's opening loss to Croatia, then apparently picked up a knee injury in his limited minutes against Brazil on Tuesday.
The Spanish Basketball Federation announced Thursday that Abrines wouldn't play in Spain's critical third Group B game against Nigeria because of a sore left knee.
According to feb.es, the official website of the Spanish Basketball Federation, Abrines was held out for precautionary reasons.
