Thunder: Randy Foye, Dion Waiters gloat about Villanova, Syracuse making the Final Four

TORONTO -- From 15 points down, Syracuse shocked Virginia in the Elite Eight on Sunday night, sending Thunder guard Dion Waiters, who used to don the Syracuse orange, into a frenzy in a downtown Toronto hotel.

"Them guys heard me in the hallway," Waiters said. "Everybody came out (of their hotel room). I was screaming, running up and down the hallway."

Waiters still goes back to Syracuse during the summer for workouts, so he knows some of the players. But he remains particularly close with the coaching staff, who recruited him out of Philadelphia. He called head coach Jim Boeheim and assistant Mike Hopkins ("Coach Hop") family.
