Aubrey McClendon's roughly 20 percent ownership in the Oklahoma City Thunder could be worth as much as $190 million and is one of the key assets of his complex and unusual estate.
According to transcripts of probate court proceedings, McClendon's widow, Kathleen McClendon, wants to purchase her late husband's stake in the Thunder, but creditors have already raised concerns about having oversight of such a sale.
"One of the significant interests is the Thunder interest that's a part of the probate estate," said Arthur Hoge, an attorney for creditor Wilmington Trust, according to a transcript of a May 13 court hearing.
