DENVER – Thunder coach Billy Donovan said earlier this week that he’d consider playing Mike Muscala at power forward again.
OKC has primarily used Muscala at center this season. But true to Donovan’s word, Muscala started the second quarter of the Thunder’s 110-102 loss at Denver Saturday alongside center Steven Adams. Then again, to start the fourth quarter he played power forward, this time as a part of a three point guard-lineup.
“Well, we’ve got 10 guys,” Donovan said of that fourth-quarter lineup. “And I thought rebounding was a little bit of a challenge. I thought it was a matchup where he could have played (Denver forward Torrey) Craig.
