Westbrook was suspended by the NBA on Sunday for receiving his 16th technical foul on Saturday in a 110-88 loss to the Golden State Warriors. There was a chance that Westbrook could have had a technical foul rescinded by the league between Saturday and Monday’s home game against Miami, but instead Westbrook will be fined and sit out a game, per league rules.
With 12 regular-season games to play, Westbrook leads the NBA in technical fouls.
