Thunder journal: Thunder starts sluggish in L.A.

LOS ANGELES — Paul George lost track of his assignment for a split second and Tobias Harris was behind him for a layup.

George wasn't the only guilty party. Patrick Beverley didn't make the shot, but he was able to stare at the rim, take a dribble, then fire before any Thunder player contested the corner 3-point attempt in a sluggish start to Friday's contest.

By the first timeout at 9:44, the Thunder was down 9-0. Four of those points came under little resistance, free romps to the rim by Danilo Gallinari and Marcin Gortat on defensive miscommunications.
