Craig Sager's sartorial style drew your eye.
But while the TNT reporter became famous for his garish, whimsical clothes, Sager – who died on Thursday at age 65 after a two-year battle with leukemia – had in recent years come to represent something more serious.
“He taught us how to fight, even in the hardest times,” Thunder center Enes Kanter said Friday. “He was just a legend, man.”
Sager, who continued to work on-air periodically while dealing with the illness, was the league's best-known sideline reporter, and his death sparked reaction from around the NBA, including in Oklahoma City.
