DENVER – The Thunder may have had a shot to bring Blake Griffin home.
Following the blockbuster trade of Griffin from the Los Angeles Clippers to Detroit Pistons, ESPN's Royce Young said on The Hoop Collective podcast Wednesday that the Clippers contacted the Thunder to offer Griffin for free-agent-to-be Paul George. Young also said Minnesota was a team which was contacted before the Clippers traded Griffin to Detroit.
“They offered him around to everybody,” Young said on the podcast, not uncommon for NBA teams to do when a player is on the market.
