Thunder journal: Raymond Felton returns to the rotation

Thunder guard Raymond Felton’s minutes have increased in every game since the All-Star break.

Before the break, Felton filled in at backup point guard during the two games Dennis Schroder missed for the birth of his son. He had been of the rotation for a month and a half before then, and in Schroder’s first game back, Felton yet again watched from the bench. But Thunder coach Billy Donovan put him in for six minutes against Sacramento last Saturday and eight at Denver on Tuesday.

“Obviously his ability to know the game,” starting point guard Russell Westbrook said of what Felton brings off the bench, “understand what his strengths are, give us another veteran on the floor, playmaker, shooter as well.
