BOSTON – Cameron Payne's comeback remains a work in progress. But it's progressing.
The Thunder guard – who has yet to play this season after fracturing the fifth metatarsal in his right foot during a preseason scrimmage – was on the court with his teammates at a morning shootaround Friday before the Thunder's 117-112 win against Boston Friday night.
Payne was cleared for portions of the non-contact shootaround. He could dribble, cut and shoot.
He also was on the court for some non-contact work on Thursday, Thunder coach Billy Donovan said. That doesn't mean he'll be able to participate in all non-contact practice drills.
