TORONTO -- Thunder coach Billy Donovan stood by his decision to play Dennis Schroder in the Thunder’s overtime win at Charlotte on Friday.
“A lot of that … has to come down to the player, who is very involved in the conversation, and also the medical staff,” Donovan said Sunday.
Schroder (right ankle soreness) sat out of the Thunder’s 98-97 win Sunday at Toronto.
He was questionable before Friday’s game with the same injury. He played 35 minutes and was the Thunder’s second-leading scorer (24 points), behind Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (27). Donovan said Schroder was cleared to play without restrictions Friday.
