Thunder journal: Josh Huestis’s fourth-year option declined by OKC

Thunder forward Josh Huestis will be an unrestricted free agent this summer, as the Thunder did not pick up his 2018-19 option by Tuesday's deadline, The Oklahoman confirmed Tuesday.

If the 6-foot-7, 230-pounder's option was picked up, Huestis would have been guaranteed $2.2 million next season. Huestis's option being declined was first reported by Michael Scotto of basketballinsiders.com.

“It's not a personal thing,” Huestis said after the Thunder's 110-91 win against Milwaukee in which he played six minutes – his shortest outing of the season. “I've just gotta take it like it is and keep showing up every day.
