Thunder journal: Josh Huestis shows flashes in first OKC minutes since February

Alex Abrines' 3-point attempt bounced off the front of the rim and no Nugget put a body on Josh Huestis.

The 6-foot-7, 230-pounder has been a steady presence this season for the D-League Oklahoma City Blue, but had only played once for the Thunder through 81 games. With one game left for OKC before starting the playoffs this weekend against Houston, there was an opportunity to get Huestis minutes against Denver.

He re-introduced himself to the Thunder roster quickly, catching Abrines' miss and slamming it home with one hand.

If he happens to be with the Thunder when the playoffs start, Huestis likely won't be in the rotation.
