Thunder journal: Jerami Grant keeps game close until OKC surges

The whistle sounded as Thunder forward Jerami Grant was suspended in mid-air, contorting to somehow toss a shot into the basket as he collided with two Magic players. He landed, and OKC point guard Russell Westbrook held his hand in the air, pointing down to signal that the basket should count. Sure enough, it did, and Grant was awarded a free throw to go with it.

The Thunder’s 132-122 win wasn’t the dominant victory expected after the Thunder had beaten the Magic just a week before without starters Terrance Ferguson and Steven Adams.
