The Cleveland Cavaliers scored 20 points off dunks Thursday night against the Thunder, 21 if you count LeBron James' and-1 and made free throw.
It wasn't just one type of dunk defense that plagued the Thunder in its 104-100 loss to the Cavs. Seven of the 10 dunks came in the halfcourt, but three more came in transition. Three came directly out of the pick and roll, all of those via bouncy power forward Tristan Thompson finishing lobs.
“We've got to basically pull Tristan Thompson's man out of the coverage, and we've gotta be able to help out of the corner a bit,” Thunder coach Billy Donovan said of defending the lob dunk.
