The Raptors sent a double team to Paul George at the edge of the Toronto logo. He cut to his left and found Jerami Grant on the left wing. Grant took one dribble and slung a pass to Dennis Schroder in the corner.
He drained the shot. It was still the first quarter Friday, and the Thunder was proving that unlike the first time it played the Raptors, it had an answer for Toronto’s attempts to trap George. Schroder was large part of that equation. He scored 26 points on 16 shots in the Thunder’s 116-109 win.
“I thought he gave us a really good boost on both ends of the floor,” Thunder coach Billy Donovan said.
