Thunder guard Dennis Schroder caught Jazz coach Quin Snyder's attention during warmups before OKC beat Utah 122-113 Monday.
The two embraced, patting each other on the back and sharing a few words.
They hadn't been on the same team since the 2013-14 season in Atlanta, Schroder's first year in the league and Snyder's last year as an assistant.
Schroder stayed with the Hawks in the Eastern Conference, and Snyder headed out West to coach Utah.
The niceties had faded away in the second quarter when Schroder, sweat dripping from his forehead, stared straight ahead as he walked past Snyder out of a timeout.
