Thunder journal: Bench finds footing for first time without Enes Kanter

Joffrey Lauvergne was standing at the free throw line, Russell Westbrook dribbling and directing a few feet away.

“Post up?” Lauvergne asked. Westbrook nodded and Lauvergne immediately set up in the left post against Marc Gasol. When he scored a short hook shot over the Grizzlies' All-Star center, Westbrook was amped, barking encouragement in Lauvergne's direction.

In a 114-102 win against Memphis on Friday, the Thunder's bench had its most complete performance since losing Enes Kanter to a fractured right forearm.

Kanter had been the center of the Thunder's bench production before his injury.
