Thunder is entertaining even without Russell Westbrook

The Thunder’s 100-98 victory over Minnesota didn’t prove much. It was the epitome of a meaningless game – a playoff team, with its seeding cemented, resting its superstar and playing without three other rotational players, against a team long eliminated from playoff consideration.

But meaningless doesn’t mean uninteresting. Here are 10 interesting things from the Thunder’s penultimate game of the regular season:

1. The Thunder is incapable of playing non-entertaining games. Just completely incapable. I’d estimate that 75 of OKC’s 81 games have been wildly entertaining. Russell Westbrook has a little something to do with that. But even with Westbrook sitting out Tuesday night, the Thunder played a fascinating game – a patched-together lineup and rotation carved out a 22-point lead early, let it all slip away by the third quarter and rallied late to retake the lead and win the game.
