Newly-acquired Thunder guard Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot will be one of 10 players representing Team Africa in the NBA Africa Game 2018.
For the third time, the game will feature a Team Africa vs. Team World format. Team Africa will be composed of players born in Africa or with direct family ties to the continent. Luwawu-Cabarrot is from France, but has a parent from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Luwawu-Cabarrot was acquired by the Thunder this week in a three-team trade between Atlanta and Philadelphia.
Luwawu-Cabarrot will be joined on Team Africa by former Thunder forward Serge Ibaka (Republic of the Congo).
