On Friday against Brooklyn, Thunder guard Alex Abrines scored a career-best 10 points, eight of which came in the first quarter.
He did it in a little more than a minute. A 3-pointer from the left wing. A long jumper in front of the Thunder bench. A 3 from the other corner that caused the 23-year-old to hold his follow through a little longer in celebration.
He did it with his parents watching from the stands at Chesapeake Energy Arena.
“They’re pretty proud of me reaching the NBA,” Abrines said. “I think it’s been nice to bring them here and show the city, the team and the NBA.
