The smile on Steven Adams’ face said it all. So did the crowd-rousing play against the New Zealand Breakers.
The sound is unmistakable when Adams gets the ball and decides to dribble. The sparse but energized crowd at Chesapeake Energy Arena on Thursday started to buzz, then erupted into a full roar when Adams arrived in the lane and finished with a reverse that brought on an insuppressible grin.
Adams couldn’t help it. In the Thunder’s 110-84 win, the lane was wide open. In the Thunder’s first official home game of the preseason, it took full advantage.
