Thunder excels when both Durant and Westbrook share the ball

Kevin Durant took 14 shots Tuesday night at Memphis. Russell Westbrook took seven. Doesn’t seem like a recipe for overwhelming OKC success.

Especially with Westbrook shooting as well as he is this year, a career high 47.4 percent.

But the Thunder won by 37.

Two nights earlier, against Sacramento, Durant and Westbrook each took 13 shots and each made seven. Very efficient, but still a low number of shots. For his career, Westbrook has averaged 19.2 shots a game. Durant has averaged 19.0.

The Thunder beat the Kings 98-95.

It got me to wondering.
