Thunder drafts UConn's Daniel Hamilton with the 56th overall pick

Late Thursday night, hours after the blockbuster Serge Ibaka trade, the Thunder bought into the draft, snatched the 56th overall pick from Denver -- a pick OKC actually traded to the Nuggets in February -- and selected Daniel Hamilton.

Hamilton is a 20-year-old, 6-foot-8, 197-pound wing out of UConn, tall but skinny. He averaged 12.5 points, 8.9 rebounds and 4.7 assists as a sophomore last season.

His listed strengths: versatility and playmaking ability. His listed weaknesses: strength and shooting.

It's likely Hamilton spends next season on the OKC Blue, not the OKC Thunder.
